A Pro Right There with You - If you want to get the camera up and running with the feeling of a pro right there with you then I would strongly recommend it. He walks you through setting the camera up and gives you his reasoning for the settings. He leaves the door open to change them based on your level of experience. After the basic settings tour Doug then gets down to the heart of this great camera: the custom settings and focus system. His explanation is first class and he explains how various custom settings are related to each other. Doug does a fine job explaining what can be very intimidating areas of this camera. All in all a great read. Camera in one hand and reader in the other and dig in.

The Nikon D5300 Experience by Doug Klostermann is simply the BEST camera specific book that I own. I wanted a book that focused (no pun intended) on the Nikon D5300. I have reviewed a few others and all fell short of my expectations. This book met all my needs. it didn't just copy the owners manual which many others do. Doug explains all features in depth and give the reader a greater understanding of the Nikon D5300. Highly Recommended. Great Job Doug!

This e-book provides all the information you could need on using the multitude of features of the D5300 and does so in a straight-forward, no nonsense, user-friendly manner. It is a very useful companion to the camera and expands greatly on the basic information provided in the Nikon user and reference manuals.

GREAT VALUE-ADDED PURCHASE!

Having just purchased the D5300 in time for my Son's varsity football season to kickoff, I needed an easy-to-understand (not for dummies) reference that would get me out the door and taking advantage of this great camera system. The author definitely understood the needs of his target audience; which in my case was to start snapping photos ASAP after opening box. I would strongly recommend this book and Author to anyone searching for an easy way to understand the powerful tools that the current DLSR technology brings to those wanting to capture the present for future enjoyment.
